EASY POPPY SEED CAKE

Easy Poppy Seed Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3.4 oz.) package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup oil

FOR THE GLAZE

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients for cake together in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Whisk together ingredients for glaze in a small bowl. Spoon glaze over cooled cake.
